DON GODSEY, SBA, MEA – With a business career spanning nearly 4 decades Don founded American Business Connections, LLC, a franchisee of VR Mergers & Acquisitions in 2002. Chief among early personal accomplishments was his association with Dean Witter as a Series 7 and Series 63 licensed registered representative by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). At Dean Witter Don became interested in Mergers & Acquisitions and often thought how beneficial it would be to bring the organizational disciplines and tax strategies used during large transactions to small and middle market companies. To this end Don is an avid “Small Business Advocate” and firmly believes when it’s time to sell or buy a company that hope is not a strategy.

He has owned and operated several businesses including a new start up of a national branded retail hardware store, lumber yard, feed & farm supply; A manufacturer’s representative agency and as a member of (MANA) set up tool and equipment distribution for United States, Canadian and French manufacturers throughout several western states.

Don also graduated from a five year program from The Cameron School in Houston, Texas with experience in Tool & Die, Fluid Power Systems and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and Manufacturing Processes. With a diverse background of business ownership and experience in the distribution, wholesale, retail and manufacturing sectors coupled with knowledge gained at a major Wall Street firm, Don brings needed skills and a sense of fairness to any negotiation table.

CAROL GODSEY, SBA - Carol Godsey is co-founder and managing member of American Business Connections, LLC.  Prior to joining VR , Carol was a Flight Attendant for United Airlines and, along with her husband, Don, owned and operated several other successful businesses spanning 3 decades. Through this extensive experience, Carol has gained a fundamental understanding of buyers and sellers and is uniquely equipped to guide them through the business transfer process. With this diverse background and genuine interest in people, Carol is dedicated to helping buyers and sellers achieve their highest personal goals. Married over 36 years, Carol and Don have three sons; two of whom work with them, while the third is a computer programmer for Tyson Foods, Inc. Carol is a licensed Real Estate Agent, a member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and a sitting board member of Signature Bank, Bella Vista, Arkansas.

SCOTT GODSEY, CBI – From 1985 to 1991 active duty United States Navy on the SSBN 622 U.S.S. James Monroe. After an honorable discharge in 1991 Scott owned and operated a Snap-On-Tools franchise restoring a bankrupt territory into one of the top 10 franchises in the mid-west region for 7 out of 10 years. Managed a health care clinic from 2002-2005, establishing operating procedures, policies and marketing that grew the net profits of the facility over 400% in two years. Since 2006, Scott has been engaged as a business intermediary for VR Mergers & Acquisitions. He received his CBI designation from the IBBA in 2007, joined the M&A Source in 2008 and is currently working on his Mergers and Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI) designation. Scott specializes in mid-market business valuation and transaction negotiations. Scott Godsey, is licensed to sell real estate in the State of Arkansas.

JASON GODSEY, CBI – 1992 to 1996 active duty United States Marine Corps, Twenty-Nine Palms, CA. Honorably discharged in 1996, Jason served as the department manager for a True Value hardware store, overseeing customer service, inventory control and payroll. In the period 1997-2005 Jason owned and operated PMI, Inc, a Mac Tools distributorship and was consistently in the top 15% of dealers in the country with the highest sales of automotive equipment in the state of Arkansas. Since early 2006, Jason has been engaged as a business intermediary for VR Mergers & Acquisitions. He received his CBI designation from the IBBA in 2007, joined the M&A Source in 2008 and is currently working on his Mergers and Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI) designation. Jason specializes in financial recasting, business valuation and marketing. Jason Godsey, is licensed to sell real estate in the State of Arkansas.

SUE WEBB – As a native of Northwest Arkansas, Sue brings twenty years of solid financial and lending experience in the commercial market. Sue is a graduate of the American Institute of Banking, and attended the University of Arkansas. She and her husband, Gene, also hold USCG Master Inland Captain Licenses. They have been married over 40 years; have two sons and five grandchildren.

Prior to joining VR, Sue traveled the country independently contracting due diligence for three national companies. As an effective networker Sue has acquired numerous business development contacts locally and enjoys building strategic relationships.
